Invoice Quick Summary

The $95 service call fee is a booking & dispatch fee — non-refundable under all circumstances. Whirlpool parts carry a 1-year warranty; all other brands carry a 90-day parts warranty. Labor carries a 30-day warranty (freon excluded). Warranty is void if the appliance is moved, serviced by an unauthorized party, or the invoice remains unpaid. Full terms below and at texcenappliancerepair.com/terms.

1

Damage Waiver

By requesting that Texcen Appliance Repair or its employees move, reposition, or transport any appliance on the premises, Customer acknowledges and agrees that Texcen Appliance Repair shall not be held liable for any incidental damage to floors, walls, cabinetry, fixtures, or other surfaces resulting from such movement. Customer assumes all risk associated with appliance relocation.

2

Service Call / Booking & Dispatch Fee

The service call fee is a booking and dispatch fee charged to schedule an appointment and have a Texcen technician travel to the service location. It is not a diagnostic fee — the fee is earned upon technician arrival regardless of the outcome of any assessment or recommendation made on-site.

  • The service call fee is $95.00 and is non-refundable under all circumstances.
  • The fee covers scheduling, dispatch, and technician travel. It does not guarantee any specific diagnosis, repair recommendation, or repair outcome.
  • The service call fee is applied toward the total repair cost only if Customer authorizes and Texcen Appliance Repair completes the repair on the same visit.
  • The fee is not credited or refunded if Customer declines the recommended repair, chooses to perform the repair themselves, or hires another company to complete the repair.
  • If a technician’s assessment is later determined to be incorrect and the Customer had the repair performed by another party, no refund of the service call fee will be issued — the fee covers the dispatch and visit only, not the accuracy of any third-party repair attempt.
  • Service call fees are non-refundable for Customer cancellations made after technician dispatch.
3

Parts Ordering, Backordered Parts & Cancellation

  • Once Customer authorizes a repair and parts are ordered, a deposit equal to the cost of parts may be required prior to ordering.
  • Parts deposits and ordered parts are non-refundable once the order is placed with the supplier.
  • Part availability is subject to manufacturer and supplier inventory. Texcen Appliance Repair is not responsible for manufacturer or supplier delays, backorders, or discontinuations. Estimated lead times are not guaranteed.
  • If a part becomes permanently unavailable after Customer authorization, Texcen Appliance Repair will notify Customer. Any deposit paid for an unavailable part may be refunded at Texcen Appliance Repair’s discretion, less any non-recoverable supplier fees.
  • Customer cancellations after parts have been ordered will forfeit all deposits. If parts have been received, Customer is responsible for the full cost of parts plus any applicable restocking or return fees.
Note: Part delays caused by manufacturers or distributors are outside our control. We will always communicate status updates promptly.
4

Limited Warranty

  • Whirlpool brand parts purchased and installed by Texcen Appliance Repair carry a 1-year parts warranty against defect.
  • Parts from all other brands carry a 90-day parts warranty against defect, unless otherwise stated in writing at the time of service.
  • Labor performed by Texcen Appliance Repair carries a 30-day warranty.
  • Labor-only invoices are warranted for 30 days from the original service date.
  • Freon/refrigerant charges are expressly excluded from all warranty coverage.
  • For non-residential or commercial-use appliances, both parts and labor warranties are limited to 30 days.
  • Texcen Appliance Repair reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to void the warranty and issue a full refund of the job charge in lieu of warranty service.
⚠ Warranty Is Void Under Any of the Following Conditions:
  1. The appliance is moved from the premises where the original repair was performed.
  2. The appliance is serviced, tested, or tampered with by any person or company not authorized in writing by Texcen Appliance Repair.
  3. Invoiced charges are not paid in full by the due date.
  4. Damage resulting from misuse, power surges, flooding, fire, pest infestation, or other external causes.
5

Service Charges During Warranty Period

  • Warranty service calls are scheduled Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. only. Warranty service is not available on weekends or holidays.
  • If a return visit is requested within the warranty period but the issue is unrelated to the original repair, standard service call rates ($95.00) apply.
  • Regular service call rates ($95.00) will be charged for any return visit made after 30 days from the original service date, regardless of parts warranty status.
  • Consequential damages, incidental expenses, food spoilage, and water damage are not covered under any warranty.
  • Warranty is non-transferable. No warranty, express or implied, exists beyond what is specifically stated in this document.
6

Payment Terms & Returned Payments

  • All charges are due and payable in full upon completion of service and presentation of invoice, unless prior written arrangements have been made.
  • Accepted payment methods include cash, major credit/debit cards, and approved electronic payments. Personal checks are accepted at Texcen Appliance Repair’s discretion.
  • A fee of $30.00 will be assessed for all returned checks or declined/charged-back credit card transactions.
  • All credit card and phone/remote sales are final. No refunds will be issued for completed services.
  • Accounts unpaid after 30 days may be subject to a late fee and/or referral to a collections agency. Customer is responsible for all costs of collection, including reasonable attorney’s fees.
All credit card and phone sales — including backordered parts — are non-refundable.
7

Estimates, Authorization & Right to Proceed

  • Any estimate provided by Texcen Appliance Repair is based on the technician’s initial assessment and is not a guaranteed final price. If additional damage, parts, or labor are discovered upon opening or further inspection of the appliance, the Customer will be notified and must authorize any change in scope before work continues.
  • Once Customer provides verbal or written authorization to proceed with a repair, Texcen Appliance Repair may immediately order parts and begin work. Customer is financially responsible for all parts ordered from the moment authorization is given.
  • Authorization may be provided in person, by phone, by text, or by email. Customer’s direction to proceed constitutes binding authorization regardless of format.
8

Access to Appliance

  • Customer must ensure safe, clear, and unobstructed access to the appliance at the scheduled appointment time.
  • If a technician is unable to access the appliance due to conditions at the property — including but not limited to locked premises, blocked access, safety hazards, or pets — the appointment may be marked as a completed visit and the service call fee will still apply.
  • Any delays in repair completion caused by Customer’s failure to provide access are not the liability of Texcen Appliance Repair and do not affect parts or labor warranty start dates.
9

Abandoned Parts & Unresponsive Customers

  • If parts have been ordered and received and Texcen Appliance Repair is unable to reach the Customer for scheduling after 30 days, the job may be considered abandoned.
  • Abandoned jobs forfeit all deposits paid. Parts will not be held indefinitely and may be returned or restocked at Texcen Appliance Repair’s discretion after the 30-day period.
  • Customer remains responsible for any non-recoverable costs associated with parts ordered on their behalf, including restocking fees charged by the supplier.
10

Limitation of Liability

Texcen Appliance Repair’s total liability for any claim arising out of or related to services performed shall not exceed the total amount paid by Customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Under no circumstances shall Texcen Appliance Repair be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of food or perishables, water damage, property damage, or lost profits.

11

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute arising under this Agreement that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Travis County, Texas, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Customer waives any right to bring claims as a class action. Nothing in this section shall prevent Texcen Appliance Repair from seeking injunctive relief or collection of unpaid amounts in a court of competent jurisdiction.
